Linda Uyehara Hoffman has been a taiko player for over 30 years. As a folksinger, she sang in various venues in Canada and the US. With three other taiko players, she was nominated for a Jessie for Sound Design for a production of Lear. Hoffman appeared in a film, Year of the Carnivore (2009), as Miss Nakamura, a principal role, and played a 175-year-old, blind ghost in a video Rock Paper Scissors which showed at the Nikkei National Museum in Burnaby and also in Japan.
