Miya Turnbull is an artist/mask maker of mixed Japanese-Canadian ancestry (Yonsei).
She graduated from the U of Lethbridge with a BFA in 2000, and currently lives in Halifax (K’jipuktuk), N.S. She works specifically with self-portraits as a way to explore identity and persona, often distorting her image. Miya has shown her masks, photos and videos in galleries internationally and is grateful for the support of Arts NS and Canada Council. 美弥

2000年にレスブリッジ大学を卒業し、現在はハリファックス（K’jipuktuk）ﾉバスコシア州に在住しています。彼女はアイデンティティと外的人格を探求する方法として、具体的に自画像を制作しており、よく自分のイメージを歪めています。美弥はマスク、写真、ビデオを国際的なギャラリーで発表していて、アーツ・ノバスコシアとカナダカウンシルの支援を受けて感謝しています。
